Question Questions on secondary cats

I apologize in advance if I already asked these questions before but I want to get definite answers. I have UR high flow downpipes on my car.

1. Will removing secondary cats cause an emission test failure (using the tail pipe sniffer in California, Ontario CANADA, etc.)?
2. If I replace the secondary cats with high flow cats, will I still fail the emission test (using the tail pipe sniffer in California, Ontario CANADA, etc.)?

Thank You

Probably will fail with high flow DPs and no secondaries. I had the same problem. Had UR catted DPs and no secondaries when I moved to CA. I bought some secondaries of another member and had them welded in. Passed with no problems. You would probably pass with OEM DPs and no secondaries. Don't know about Canada. I have a feeling they are pretty strict though.

I think its a crapshoot considering you can pass with OEM DPs and and no secondaries. Probably depends on the source of DPs and how many cells they are along with the car being nice and hot.

I think having two high flow cats in the exhaust should pass emmission IMO..

Just two? In CA they will do the sniff test in addition to the OBDII check.

Question Californication

The emission test in this province is the same as that of California. Mind you, I moved here from San Jose, California.
So based on your situation, I assume you have high flow catted downpipes + high flow secondary cats, right?
What kind of secondary cats did you weld?

No, I actually put back in the OEM secondaries. You could probably pass with high flows in both positions.
