normally spec my cars with the Logic 7 - but this time round went for the IA.

It certainly is a superior system to the L7, and the range of sound and volume is incredible - you really can hear things you haven't heard before on your favourite tracks.

I'd agree that it probably isn't really worth the extra cash over the Logic 7 unless you are serious audiophile. The again, I'm not a serious audiophile and I don't regret spending the extra on upgrading to the IA.

Depends what floats your boat ...

IMO...Individual Audio every time if you have the choice. It really delivers a much crisper, sharper and louder sound without losing any definition at high volumes.

I had IA in my M3 and apart from the B&W system I recently heard in a Jag XFR it was the best in-car audio system I've ever heard.

Haven't experienced Logic 7 at greater volumes, but can say that the Individual system is great in convertibles; the sound quality is amazing even over wind noise

If you want do to any further mods to the audio then go L7 as its much easier to add stuff to it.

I tested both when I ordered my car (using a Young Jeezy mixtape). I found the Logic 7 suited my needs, clarity and bass heavy! I've dj'd for more than 10 years and use monitor speakers regularly, Logic 7 = impressive

My point of view exactly. I have the Individual sound system as I would qualify myself as an audiophile (as much as you can be one in a car, that is), so the considerable extra cash was worth it for me - in particular as I almost exclusively listen to classical music.

However, I've also tested the L7 and it is already very very good. The differences to the Individual are really in nuances - clearer location of the orchestra, better spectral resolution, increased dynamical resistance etc. If optimal audio is not one of your first priorities, you'll already be quite happy with the L7.
