I knew he had surgery and was in a coma but it was reported a few days ago he was out of it and recovering? Damn.

Wow that sucks.... It was obvious after the last couple seasons of the show that he wasn't in good shape and was a ticking time bomb.

Hmm.. hopefully they keep following that boat. Interesting family dynamic there....

RIP Captain Phil Harris.

I love the show, but knew it was a matter of time before someone on the show died. You can tell the captains don't take the best care of themselves during the season.

Very sad. He did smoke like a chimney though. I remember he was like coughing up blood in one season. Hope his sons keep his legacy alive.
