Post Your E93 Build Dates...
Hi All... For those that ordered the E93 convertible, what are your build dates (not delivery) ... that is when they start building the car
Mine is on 2 Feb 2007 ... curious to know how many people have theirs sooner or later Cheers

2 weeks ago mine was the 12th March but the dealer thought this may move earlier. Haven't heard anything different as yet though.

Mine will be build around September, first slot available at my dealer, and I am being lucky as I am able to take the slot of someone who canceled his, otherwise it would have been December!

Production date: Feb 7
Got Comfort Access (originally listed as March; I'm glad it's available right away cuz otherwise I might have been pushed back to July), but factory ipod and HD radio not yet available. Wlll get dealer ipod, probably. Can't wait to see the car at the Chicago Auto Show in a couple of weeks.

Shift, did your dealer give you any hard time to get an ED so early after the launch in the US? Some guy at the BMW booth at the Washington Car Show told me he didn't think I could secure an ED until after the summer...
Where is PDX btw? Thanks. |

No problem with ED

Dealer has been easy to work with and supposedly had no problem securing the ED spot. |

Our dealer called me a couple days ago and said our E93 order has been accepted by BMW and given #111 which means, as I understood it from my SA, that our car has been accepted for production but it's not too late to make order changes. The next day I added PDC. I was told when the #111 changes to #112 the car is in production status and it is then too late to make any order changes. I asked him if he knew approximately when the car would be built but he didn't know. What is your understanding of the # 111 and does 10 in your case mean your car will be built in the 10th week into the year 2007....as in mid march? Thanks.

If so I am going to order one next week, pricing be damned. I don't think I can stomach a summer without a convertible, and I don't want to sit on the M3 all summer long and miss the used convertible buying season. |

Saw reference in another thread about the 6 i-drive shortcut buttons for March production. Just looked at the brochure and i-drive is described with the 6 buttons and there is no "6" footnote meaning delayed until March.
The "6" is on comfort access, factory ipod and HD radio. However, my order went through with CA, so that is available right away.
