I was gettin around in my E28 no problem. I adjusted the ebrake yesterday so its pretty tight. On an icy road I will pivot it around on either front wheel

dunno, my 330 and my 335 were fine in the snow up to 8 inches. had dunlop winter sports on solely in the winter. AND it was RWD. drove fine. i turn off the DTC system completely when driving in the snow.

That's probably why, my car would barely move with summers on. Threw on winters and I was amazed how I could get through my unplowed driveway. I was actually really impressed with the TC, I went into empty lots sometimes to try to get it to spin out with TC on and it worked very well to keep the car goin on the right track. Turning it off made it fun though.

thats what i did with Mels car. Turned it all off, with the stock 17 RFTs. That blizzard we had the week before xmas, I was plowing through 2 ft drifts and just drivin it like a rally car. Never got stuck once.

+1. I have a square setup of 225/45R-17 Dunlop SP Winter Sport 3D tires on my E90 335i. I live on top of a 950 ft hill in northwestern CT and although we've had several significant winter storms this year, I only had difficulty getting to work one day so far (because of how poorly others were driving). Other than that, I've had no problem getting around in the snow in a RWD BMW.

looks like the consensus is get winter tires and learn how to drive in the snow. LOL

Slippery even with xi... Tried to stop for a stop sign rolling at 10mph and slid half way into the intersection because of ice

Snow FTL

My all-season tires can't grip for shit, next year I'm investing in snow tires for sure.

My xi was straight in the snow. Was out all night with 2 jeep wranglers and keeping up with about 2 or 3 inches out. Got sideways when i wanted to and but great control otherwise. The stopping could get a little sketchy at some points though.
