Nice, I finally installed this guage and all my Burger parts this past weekend. Good results so far. Can't wait to get summer wheels back on and get to the track!

You can switch while the engine is running... technically you could even switch while going 155 on the autobahn, but you might not want to take your eyes off the road

Well, you can do one or the other. You can use the p3 gauge and disable the mapswitching to use the pedal. Or, you can use the mapswitching and program the maps. You cant assign pedal switching.....only use it mapswitching is disabled.

How do you plug the pins into the JB3 to get the map switch to work?
I have a Procede, and the pin goes into the remote switch plug/harness. Which was pretty self explainable. But I don't see how that works with the JB3 Gen 3 board..........Do you have to open up the JB3 or? TIA

There's a Retro DIY posted on N54 where you get most of the functionality.

As to how to get in there...the main harness that would connect to the JB3 box, you have to undo 2 screws and just take it apart and insert the pins an instructed in the link. Put it back together, obviously just reverse the process. After that, just run the 2 wires all the way to the gauge. Hope that helps!

If my memory serves me right, yes all you have to do is pry the harness cover off just like the jb3 box. Should just snap on and off.

You don't really have to touch the JB3 control box. The little connector (AMF or whatever) is what you're actually taking apart for the Brown/Purple wires. There are 2 screws/washers holding this together... undo those and take apart the black housing. That'll leave you with just the serial connector. Insert the wires from the back end of the connector and use a pair of pliers to pull from the other end... wait for a click and ur good to go.

Correction: When re-installing everything after my dealer visit, there are 2 screws and nuts that you need to get off before accessing where you would insert the pins.
