turning off car/bluetooth and switching to cell
Hi,
So I tried searching, but I must not be finding the right key words. Does anyone know if you start a call while using via bluetooth, can you continue the conversation without having to end the conversation? If so, what must you do to keep the conversation going? Using a samsung phone. thanks in advance |

if you just "switch to handset" the car will re-take the call in a few moments. you have to enter your phone menu on the car and temp. turn off BT.

Many mobiles will not allow you to turn Bluetooth off it you have already established a connection.

on my w800i i can transfer my calls around, so if i want to leave the car, i just transfer the call back to my phone, and step out of the car, and while the bmw still detects the bluetooth connection, the sound (input ^ output) is from my own handset, and i can use it as normal

I have a verizon krazr (and used to have the razr) and if I want to leave the car while on a call I just switch it back to the phone and get out of the car. I hear a beep on the phone when i have walked far away enough from the car, so for those of you who park the car close to the house you might not disconnect as others have experienced. While in the car and when I want to use the phone and not the car I just switch it back to the phone and during that conversation it comes from the phone when I hang up it will switch back to using the car as a headset.

I can do the same with my LG VX8300. To switch I access my phone's menu and there's a menu item that says "Use Phone" - that switches to the phone and I can turn the car off and walk away... except the screen still shows the call screen till I'm far enough and it shuts off, or I just turn the display off. If for some reason you do this in the car, then end the conversation, the next phone call will be picked up normally via the car.

Transfer call to handset when connected via BT to maintain call and exit vehicle.
To transfer a call already in progress using the BMW BT from the car to the handset is realtively simply. I have a 2006 330i E90 w/NAV.
1. Turn off engine and remove key. iDrive will still be powered up while call is in progress. 2. Similar to previous post; on my Moto RAZR V3i I access the in-call menu and select "use handset." 3. Idrive will disconnet and power down like normal once the call is transfered to the handset. 4. This does not work on my Moto V3i when I want to have a private call and still drive. Similar to previous post, the car will simply find the phone again and connect to the car once again. Hope this helps...

This is very simple.
1) Turn off car. 2) Phone automatically takes call back since the headset/BT disconnects.

I've had perfectly good results with what ///Matt put down - if you want the call to be private, go to the BT menu in your CAR (not on the phone) and turn BT off, the call audio reverts to the handset.

I have the same problem with my phone.... but #3 dosent work for me. 1. I push the switch audio button on my phone to take the call audio to the cell phone.. 2. I Drive starts playing music (like it was before the call came on). 3. I turn the car off 4. Walk away on my phone on an active call 5. Car is still playing music It doesn't turn the music off until my phone call is over.. am I doing something wrong? |
