My 330i is insignificantly slower than the equivelant year 335d. A tenth of a second according to the official stats. In todays terms that is 6.1 vs 6.0 - 062mph. The 335d would however destroy it with a IRA bomb mod.
I do most of my driving in Wales, where they remap their otters so i stand no chance in the 330i. An otter remap consists of a firework inserted into its sphincter and lit when the time comes. It is very similar in terms of 0-60, but in a straight line up in the air is where it shines doing a 1/4 mile in a staggering 8.5 seconds. (This is with an ignited kimbleton mammoth) Id still rather hear the roar of a straight six petrol than the sqeal of an otter with a rocket up its arse. Horses for courses, but its fekkin hard trying to catch an otter, let alone putting a rocket up its arse. |

I believe the majority of 330i (E9X) owners do think their 330i's are as quick as 335'd. hahahahahaha

I also believe that many 335d owners believe that this matters ... and they are wrong as well. The otters remain above it all. Smug little b*stards. |

Unfortunately there is a downside to Otter drag racing combined with drinking Bud Light.

This is a thread of true genius. I think it deserves a sticky...
NFS - utterly classic line - I also believe that many 335d owners believe that this matters ... and they are wrong as well. 335d owner or not, that is frickin brilliant!! No otters were harmed in the making of this thread... |

So an e46 330i had tried to have a play with me yesterday.
Was surprised how quick it was tbh...especially initially as I only pulled away slowly up to 40ish, from then onwards tho' , well there was a big gap by the next roundabout I let him catch up and we had a couple more runs, and unlike the OP he wasnt happy at all when I pulled over in the end. I suppose he has previously maced 330d's before....

Hell, we're a crazy lot, us 330i drivers! I often mention how my 330i is just as fast as the legendary 335D. I tell it to my mates down the pub, to close and distant family and to random members of the public. Always comes up as a topic of conversation at my local otter watch meetings as well.
