n00b in need of help finding an amp output - BMW pro stereo
Sorry if there is an answer to this somewhere already but I have not been able to find it...
I have a 2008 3 series with the optional stereo upgrade (not the £1500 upgrade but the £300 one) I would like to fit an additional sub woofer & amp but need to know where I can take an output from the BMW system without making a mess (the car is a company car which I am not supposed to tinker with). I just want to be able to get a little more low end. Do I have to get a speaker level output instead of RCA oris there another way? Are there any pics of the stock setup that I have and locations of ams etc? I have never used a speaker level before for an amp, when doing so is it ok to split the wires and connect to both amp and speaker and if so what effect does this have? I have an understanding of impedance etc but not enough to know what would happen here. |

I wouldn't use speaker level inputs. Get a LOC and tap the sub outputs for your system.
