K750i or Black V3
Both the Sony Erricson K750i and the Motorola Razr V3 (black) are listed as Bluetooth compatible phones that work with the E90. My dilema is that I have two relatives, both in the phone sales business telling me one is "better" than the other. I can't decide
From my point of view the main thing is a phone that works reliably and it must be compatible with my car - it would really piss me off if I had spent top $$ on a new car and a new phone and they didn't work well together (or independently for that matter). So, if people here can offer some objective/unbiased and real accounts based on their own experience with either of these phones with the E90 I would really appreciate your insight

Quality and performance-wise K750 is the much better phone. It has the best reviews from all the mobile magazines and websites. K750 has a much better camera, much longer lasting battery, it has virtually unlimited storage space for MP3 and pictures, because it has a removable storage card , Razor does not and you can store only few songs. The only thing going for a razor - it looks better to some people. I don't have either phone so my opinion is objective. Btw, there are 2 new razors coming out soon, both would have better camera and a storage card, not sure exactly when though

My K750i works quite well with the E90. The only bug that I've encountered occurs when I receive a call. Even if I pick up an incoming call, it shows up as a missed call.

dxk, that looks pretty good, thanks for the link. The extra memory, better camera and faster CPU should make a big difference. If only someone knew when it is going to be released ...

Yeah, I have seen the V3x - it looks like a damn nice phone. That's the problem with mobiles, they change so quickly and the premium you pay for the really new ones is just insane. The V3x is actually 3G compatible (I think), and I am not that keen on 3G yet - no-one else I know has it so what is the point
I think I'll just settle for either the K750i or the V3

1.) I can only store one number per contact name on the RAZR (i.e. So no work/mobile/home per contact). 2.) The RAZR is already slightly old, and there are pics online of the new RAZR already online, and Motorola will be coming out with the SLVR which looks much nicer. 3.) THe construction of the RAZR is really flimsy...it breaks wayyyyyy to easily.... So just taking this into account...and the fantastic menu and quality of the W800i and K750i (which my dad got ) would lead me to say to get this. In regards to the bug that is listed by drednik above...I dont have the problem...bluetooth works 100%...no problems syncing contacts and using it. Maybe try updating the firmware of their site online?

saury316,
Thanks for the info on the W800. I have seen it and the specs look awesome. I have had some mixed messages on the K750i and W800 - a reliable source said the software was very flaky and "it crashes all over the place, resulting in you having to switch the phone off and then on again". He aslo said people are being forced to download firmware updates each week ... any of this true? This guy is usually very reliable (a relative) and he is a pretty senior manager in the mobile phone business. Maybe he has just had a bad batch ... dunno Anyway, i can hold on for a bit more, as my car isn't here yet. When it arrives I'll get the best/latest of either the V3 or K750/W800 series.

Yes, the W800 will work with Cingular. As long as the phone is unlocked, it will work with any GSM provider. I bought a K700i directly from Sony Ericsson earlier in the year, and have been using it all over the US and Europe with no issues so far (I have Cingular service). Where are you buying your W800 from? However... please note that "your mileage might vary," (no pun intended!) since the W800 does not support the 850 MHz frequency, which Cingular operates on in many parts of the USA. My K700i doesn't do 850 MHz either, but I live in Chicago and everywhere I go I have 3 to 5 bars of signal. It may be different where you live.

Will this phone work with cingular?
Depends where you get it and from whom. I got mine from back home in Hong Kong. There, there is no such thing as locking the phone, so all phones are "unlocked" and can be used with any service provider. Therefore it works with any GSM network in the world (Tmobile and Cingular included).
