UUC SSK Ordered!

Well, randomly visited the UUC website, 15% off all BMW parts. Was going to use military discount, but hey, I'll take another 5% off.

Heard lots of good stuff about it, has anyone had negative experiences?

add the SSr thingy to prevent gear slop, if you're going for it, get both.

I have it and the DSSR. One of the best mods I've done to the car.

I have one sitting at my house now. I will be reviewing it and writing a full DIY of the UUC SSK and DSSR when I drop my tranny for the clutch upgrade.

i have the evo3 without the DSSR and it's amzing. can't even imagine how good both together must be. but IMO this should be the first mod for all 3er's and it should be made mandatory haha. transforms the feel of the car.

The DSSR was a pain to install, even on a lift. However, I took it off and reinstalled it with the car on ramps (!) because one of the circlips wasn't on properly. That was fun. Having small hands helped a lot.

It didn't really fix the in-gear slop but the shift action through the gates feels more solid with the DSSR than without.

On the M3 forum some members had the DSSR installed and found that using different washers reduced the in-gear slop. I wonder if that would also work for our version? Mind you, I'm quite happy with the shifter as it is right now, and others that have driven it confirmed that it's much better than OEM, but that doesn't mean it cannot be improved.
