CD Changer problem - what a ballache
Hi All
I bought a “new” CD Changer on Ebay for my E92 2007 335d. The seller stated it was brand new and had never been fitted to another car. After a previous ask I was told you just plug in, in the boot then have the MOST bus cables configured and the Changer coded to the car. I took it into my local Indy BM place and they spent a couple of hours last Thursday trying to get it to work and most of yesterday…….. The nearest they got is that before it could be coded, the Autologic machine said several software files needed updating…….. so they did this The upshot is that it gets right to the end of all these checks but just won’t update the phone software, which means you can’t then get to the bit to code the CDC to the car. So what do I do…………?????? Ditch the CDC and pay Main Dealer to do what needs doing to get the Phone/Bluetooth working again. Ditch the CDC and play dumb at the Main Dealer and say I want the work done under warranty to do what needs doing to get the Phone/Bluetooth working again. Book in at main dealer and get them to sort the phone and then attempt the CDC coding – hoping that it will be quick and easy, but have the potential that it may get costly and/or never work……… Answers on a postcard to………… Max Last edited by ibanezking; 03-02-2010 at 03:53 AM.. |

What a pain!
Perhaps you should ditch the CDC and just use an MP3 cd in the dash player, then get the other stuff fixed under warrantee.
