Different Keys = Different Settings?

All of my radio presets were done using the same Comfort Access key. The other day I grabbed my spare key and when I turned on the car I noticed that all of my presets for FM, AM and Satellite Radio were gone!

I truned the car off and grabbed my original key and everything returned. I had no idea that presets were tied to which vehicle key is being used. I guess the intent there is that different users of the same vehicle can have completely different presets simply by using different keys.

I learn something new everyday with my Beemer!

yep. says so in the manual. when you purchased your car, you should have received a bunch of stickers to label each key so they don't get mixed up

I purchased my 335i as a CPO this past December and the dealer never went over that. I've been thru most of the manual as well but must have missed the part discussing this issue.

Couple of other things I recently discovered:
- The passenger side mirror only tilts down in reverse if the side mirror adjustment button is in the left position.
- The side mirrors automatically open once you hit 25 MPH.

You'll find that thread extremely helpful, I think.
