Brake fluid
This morning the change brake fluid light came on. The car is almost 2 years old and I only have 22,000kms on it. Does this really need to be changed?
I'm also going to assume BMW does cover this like the oil changes. |

i had that light come on too they flush out your brake fluid and put in new brake fluid for you. i had that covered under warranty so it was free. i think they said they do it every 2 years incase the brake fluid get contaminated....

The light is advisory, and it is safe to drive with it. The change of brake fluid is a preventive measure, since the fluid gets contaminated with water as the time goes. If the brake fluid were not flushed for a long time, the brake lines could get corroded due to the water collected in them, but the process is slow. A few hundred kms will not make a difference.
