2.0d engine just dying when on the go?!
So 5-6 weeks ago, missus said the 520d just died on a 30mph road. No warning lights/beeps just stopped. She then said it was very rough and low on power when she started it again. I took it out - seemed normal so thought a one off and maybe a a bit of crap in fuel
This morning I was driving, taking lad to nursey when it happened to me. Turned off a road, gently on power then went to turn right and it was like it just stalled - just lack of power steering was the first thing I noticed, again no beeps/warning lights . Restarted straight away but the revs did seem to dip several times when I lifted of the accellerator, kinda like it was goign to stall again. It may be sounding rougher on startup than usual...but I was putting that down to me being used to the 330d... It's in the dealer on Friday, but this seems like a fuel pump problem to me, any other ideas, espically why no warning lights? Edit - its an auto and only run on decent d (Shell) Cheers.

So this could be the auto box....took it out last night and when you lift off, the box seems to be letting the revs drop quickly....almost down to 600! Guess thats why it seems to be stalling...cos it is and hence no engine warning light
