what do all the different versions mean? I want to buy one used and I found one that is 1.3 and one that is 1.4. What's the difference between the two?And how is the newest one better than these? thanks

There's three generations. The latest generation has a DB9 port on the opposite end allowing you to interface directly with the tune to upgrade the firmware/maps and also do datalogging. It's worth mentioning you can upgrade a Gen1 or Gen2 to a Gen3 by turning in the control box (little black box) and paying $65.
2nd item down on this page: http://www.burgertuning.com/JB3_upgrades.html Also, the decimal numbers that are usually quoted (1.3, 1.4, 2.0) refers to the firmware loaded onto the control box. The hyphenated numbers (1-22, 2-24, etc) refers to the maps loaded onto the control box. |
