headlights brought back to life
This one is pretty short, but since all my other details dont have very many afters lately (finishing at night), I had to "steal" my friends car for 30 minutes to get something on film. The whole car needs to be cut and polished, but that is for another day!
anyway, here are the results of 1500grit, followed by 3000grit, Megs 105 with wool, then 205 with foam and rotary. HUGE improvement and amount of light that can pass through to the road now! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Like I said, its a short one! I'll end up re-polishing them lightly and sealing them up another day, it started raining as I was polishing so I packed it up |

Nice.... I wonder if there is any disadvantage to polish the headlights... do they come with a film that you loose when polishing?
Can be done in a regular basis?? For example: each time you polish the car? |

you degrade the plastic UV coating, but can replace it. Whats better though, being able to see, or stock plastic uv protection???? lol...ill take seeing at night!

Very nice job Eric!
What do you suggest applying on the headlights to seal or prevent the yellowing. I have used a simple spray clear coat in the past followed up with a clear sealant like Opti-Seal.
