Off to Munich!

Finally after 3 months of waiting, I am leaving for Munich tomorrow. I have a 9 o'clock appointment to go pick up a new 335i Msport E90 in Alipine White. It's been a lot of fun learning about this car (coming from a 328i) and i'm excited to go see my new ride!

It's been extra cold in Munich lately, but it's looking like the snow has subsided. We will be staying there for 5 nights, using a hotel in Munich as our home base. Thumbs up for BMW NW in Fife, WA for setting this up and helping me out with a great deal!

If anyone has any suggestions on what to do in/or around the Munich area, please post em up! I'll have pics up when I return.

Congrats and enjoy the trip.
Almost pull a trigger on AW 335xi M-Sport coupe but dealer seems to think it's still 2007 last month so I thought I play wait and see for LCI.

Who's your CA, don't tell me it's Ron Hansen.

HPIA4v2 - Yes Indeed - have had a great experience with him and also Gary. Much better than any other CAs i've dealt with in WA.

Got back from Munich on Monday - a great trip! We only had one issue, which I posted about elsewhere. Otherwise, the car is good and we had a great time. Explored Munich plenty, went to Salzburg, and also over to Dachao. A quick 5 night trip, but well worth it.

The delivery at The Welt was excellent, and since it was my second time they gave me an crystal Welt paperweight in addition to the custom key ring. We went on a factory tour - lucky us, the other party did not show so we got essentially a private tour! The weather was great the whole time, although it did rain once. Snow on the ground in places, but never a problem. Also, at The Welt there was some sort of dirt bike demo going on... cool stuff. I also got to see the performance parts on a 328i e90 in person. Nice!

Here's some pics - sorry they kinda suck, I was kinda wrapped up in the day...

They had the motorcycle demo show when I was there back in Sep 2009 too. If I remember right, I was told they do it twice a day on 2 days of the week.

Glad yours was good. Mine was jacked up after they told me I had to pay 1,200 Euro on winter tires and insisted that my car didn't come with all season tires.

ouch - I was afraid that might happen to me as well, German laws are strict when it comes to snow. Luckily, the snow was melting away...

yeah I was pissed off when they told me that. It completely ruined the experience. Then once I got to my car I looked at the tires and saw that they were all season. I told the BMW rep this and she goes running off to talk to her manager and comes back to tell me "Oh the factory must have done something special for you. Because normally we only have summer or winter tires."
