Stage 1 V2 is more refined in the sense that you can run it as well with bolt ons without overboosting . This was happening with the Stage 1 beta i was testing.

Is this the map to use with just drop-in filter, FMIC and catless/catted downpipes with entire stock down-pipe back exhaust system?

I would think it would be called Stage 1+?

Not even Stage 2 is out yet. What you can get now is Stage 1. they are working on a stage 1 plus but there is no release date yet.

I have Stage 1 REV2 witch is an improved over the first release. I heard that Stage 1+ is on the way as well for cars with FMIC and catback.

Wow...Stage 1+ sounds ideal for most...but doesn't plain Stage 1 benefit from upgraded intercooler already ? Also, catback exhaust is stated as "recommended", I would think Stage 1 benefits a catback too ?

I hope they will not mess the naming of various versions and stages like the Procede does...I want to understand which version is for what mods

Well GIAC themselves will give you options depending on your mods. You wont be able to get GIAC to flash your car with Stage 2 with only DCI for example.
