BMS Dual Cone Performance Intake

I was on the burgertuning website today to possibly pick up a JB3, and not only did I notice they dropped the price, but I noticed that for $449 you can get the JB3 and Dual Cone Intake. Anyone have any experience with this product (the intake, obviously) and how hard is it to install? Also, how loud is it? I'm up for a little more growl but nothing that's too crazy. thanks

The intake is extremely easy to install. It's also not very loud at all, the biggest sound difference is a "wooshing" sound of air being sucked in, but it's not loud.

One word of advice on the installation: tighten the living hell out of the bolts on each end of the metal pipes it comes with.

It's great. I love the whooshing sound. It can only be described as "intoxicating".

Reason I took it off my car is the hpfp's on the 335i are so damn messed up you never know when it will fail again and removing it becomes a hassle... Which is only smart if you value the factory warranty... No problems at all with the intake... If someone is interested I can post a pic... it was on my car for about 2 months before my hpfp went out for the 2nd time, this time requiring a tow truck leaving me frantically trying to put the stock air filter.

install of the intake is ~10 minutes once the cowels are off (need these off to get to the ECU anyway).

just an fyi, the price you're looking at is for the JB3 pin-out version which means the install is much more extensive and can be tricky the first couple of times. So if i was u just have a look at the install video and if u thought it was too difficult or confusing id suggest getting he plug n play version which saves so much time. plus the good thing about it is that u wont mess with the OEM pins and hence u wouldnt leave trace of tampering with the ECU if the dealership ever checked. i personally have the pin-out version but just my 2 cents

Easy install, sounds great and I deff feel a diff in the throttle response with the intake, cars seems just alittle quicker...I took it out a few days ago and the car just feels alittle more slugish

It's a very good bang for your buck, i had it, and the aFe DCI, the butt dyno liked the BMS better than the aFe. My ears didn't like either (hence the Mr. 5 intake option)

I absolutely love it, especially for the price point. The air being sucked in is similar to any vehicle with open element intake, and the dv's send off a nice sound that is much more noticeable. Install is about as easy as it gets!

i just put mine in, the spool is not that loud? Is there something I can add to make the spool louder when driving? I really have to pound on the gas to hear it spool, and it's a small whistle even so...
