335i Tuning / 335i Manufacture Warranty
Hi,
I am looking to tune and upgrade my 335i in the near future. I am starting this thread to find solutions where we can tune the 335i and still get our warranty if anything breaks down. Feel free to express your views |

I am seriously contemplating in getting the Vishnu piggy back! If anything goes wrong with the car and I send it back to my dealership, do I have to uninstall the piggy back before doing so?
What are the warranty policies for the BMW 335i? |

Lets say we are going in for just a routine oil change but with aftermarket parts. Will the dealership/service center "take note" of these parts so in the future when something does actually go wrong, and we bring it in (without the aftermartket equipment) and they have it in paper that we did once have aftermarket parts, will they reject us?

It depends on why you're going back to the dealership. If you need work done on suspension, then no, I would not remove it. If it's engine related or fuel related, I would consider removing the procede.
I think you need to search more as this topic has been covered multiple times and weight the option out yourself. There is a saying that goes you got to pay to play |

the procede, IIRC, can be removed without any issues and within minutes. just take it out before taking the car in for any warrenty work
that's not to say the ECU readings wont look funny when hooked up though |

Wouldnt removing the procede, the readings should look normal, as all readings of the cars return to normal? I would assume that the ignition timing should reset to factory.

Howdy--If you chose to physically remove the PROcede, the only thing a dealership will be able to see is that the ecu has been disconnected from power. The same thing that would happen if you discharged or replaced your car battery. The will be no odd readings stored in the ECU itself, either prior to or after the ECU unplug. Even permenantly stored boost control duty cycle or boost pressure data will be in the range which is considered normal for a stock car.
