Its better, you may also break the sharp edge downwards, see existing outlets.

Cold winter temps, light weight 17" and no shifts will do A LOT to the outcome.

Try doing this during hot summer temps on 265/30-19"-wheels with one shift and you will get completely "different" numbers...

I just looked at the connectors that I needed.
You need an MCX plug to tap into the Vbox that goes to an SMB jack to tap into the trunk.

BTW, here are pictures of where I tapped into the antenna in the trunk and where I have the Vbox located now (in the glove box).
I have it in the glove box and when I'm doing runs, I put it in the space between the glove box and the center console like in the 3rd and 4th pic.
(The curly wire is for my cell phone so it has nothing to do with the Vbox.)

Hi Mr. 5,

I Just got a Vbox & need a little help connecting it to the sharkfin antenna. Went digging thru the bottom & sides of the trunk looking for something like the first picture and couldn't find anything like that in my trunk. Where in the trunk is the blue connector you tapping into with the W1001 cable? Was the blue connector attached to something before you used it?
