LSD install in MA/CT?

Hey, does anyone know of any places in MA/CT (maybe RI and even NH) that can do an LSD install? I'm thinking of getting either the wavetrac or quaife. I contacted two places and their rates differ $500 so I want to get more quotes to see what a reasonable price would be.

I'm in western ma btw

Where are you getting the quafie from? I've been looking for one as well.

not sure, there are a number of vendors on here that sell the quaife. whenever I'm ready to order the quaife (or wavetrac), it will be from whoever has the best price lol

My buddy is a Quaife distirbutor, I just need a model number and he can give me a quote but I can't seem to find any. I wonder if he can get wavetrac...

Are you just going to the cheaper of the two?

Yeah I plan on doing it myself. Most of the work is getting the stuff out of the way to remove the diff.

Did you check out Bavarian Perforamance Group in Winchester? They specialize in LSDs and they really know their stuff. I have all my non-warranty work done there. http://www.bavarianperformancegroup.com/

I got a quote from diffsonline for the actual lsd install, and bpg for the removal and reinstallation, but I feel like it's pretty expensive compared to what other shops would charge. Turner was $500 cheaper for the install

yeah its not even a welded diff so it should be pretty quick. I've got a 12/06 build date.

not sure what the model is but its for an 07 335i MT. Price isn't the only reason, seems like wavetrac is getting good reviews and it seems like its performance might be slightly better than quaife.

usually I work on my car myself but I feel like I might screw something up with an LSD install. Like not properly torqueing something or not shimming it properly. If I had a cheaper car where parts were cheaper, and more available, I wouldn't mind tackling it. Or even if I had another car so I could just park this car and not have to worry about getting to work the next day. Hopefully I can pick up a 2nd car before winter.
