CDV Mod?

I am upgrading to a B&M SSK, but I understand that the OEM CDV will be a serious bottleneck in the system... So, this should go as well.

For what I read, I understand that some people take the CDV off completely (delete) and some replace it for a lease restrictive CDV (modified CDV).

So, what are the Pros/Cons of each option? Is it better to delete or to replace?

Please let me know your thoughts!

I don't think it's necessary to purchase modified CDV. You can simply remove the existing CDV and attach what's remaining

true ...that works. i have the BMS CDV which basically just bores out the stock CDV...so if someone were to do a visual inspection...the valve appears to be in place and still functioning as intended.

what does removing/modifying the cdv do? Does it make it so the car won't stay in place on a hill when the clutch is depressed before pushing the gas? Or shift delays, what?

... you will be able to shift gears in your BMW just like a "normal" car. No more vague, inconsistent clutch engagement. No more jerky 1-2 shifts. You can actually chirp the tires when shifting from 1st to 2nd gear! Parallel parking becomes a breeze and your clutch will love you for it and last much longer. Best of all, your passengers will stop making fun of your driving skills.

Doesnt the CDV mod wear the clutch quicker?
