suggestions on safe removal of emblems?

Hey guys I'm looking to take the emblems off the 335i and the xdrive on the side of the car. Whats the safest way to remove these emblems and are they gonna leave an outline of the emblems? Will i need a wheel and wax to buff this out suggestions please. thank you!

I used my train pass... hard yet flexible card.

It was easy. It's easy when the car is new. Left no marks.
