According to a Mac spoiler site, you won't see an iPod video for a while, but I have a feeling Jobs might sneak one out on October 12th. Otherwise, i'd say go with the nano. It's beyond portable, excellent battery life, fits anywhere, durable and if you intend on listening to 234234234 songs then you should just leave the iPod at home cause you'll get in an accident playing with the darn thing.

I have a black iPod nano and think it is just fabulous! I have it mostly filled with Podcasts and recent music purchases from the iTunes music store. When I am on a long drive I usually end up listening a combination of my latest music and some Podcasts anyway. I also have a 60GB iPod for carrying my entire collection when on longer trips.

There is nothing to stop you having both (except money). They each have a place.

The nano holds up to 4GB just like the mini but it is smaller and more attractive. It makes perfect sense to get rid of the mini. The shuffle's only selling point is small and cheap so it's perfect for people who don't want to spend more than $100 USD.
I bought my girlfriend a black nano and she loves it. Haven't tried in my car yet but I like the fact that it comes in black.

ok, so I am thinking of pulling trigger on the Nano...black. My concerns....

1. I saw the stores sample unit...and it was trashed!! scratched, dirty, looked horrible. Granted its a floor/sample model so it gets no love. My question, in good hands like the E90 owners, is it easy to maintain the black Nano is good shape...cosmetically??

2. With the use of the black Nano in the AUX, are there any RF units that would allow me to control it wirelessly?? Is the sound quality adequate?? Oh, and are the cables black also...or all WHITE??

Thanks guys. Any comments will be much appreciated.

Buy one of these. I swear by it. After putting it on, I took out my house key to see if the promo add was true. Oh, it definitely was.
