Comfort Access query

Hi, have just picked up the my "new" 325i manual (07 with 35000kms) and learning all the extensive features! One thing I've had a problem with is the comfort access feature - it has no problem locking but does not want to open when I place my hands on the door handle! I have noticed a battery low warning so could this be the issue?

BTW I have it booked for a service next week.

Garage List
If you have a low battery, the comfort access feature will be turned off to save battery. Another function which might not work is the welcome lights (optic rings lighting up when you have the headlight switch set to auto and you unlock your car in a dark area)

The welcome lights are working and some features of comfort access work as well ie. locking from outside/starting up without insertion of key!

I see you are in Tas, where did you get your car from and where are you based?

Post some pictures up when you get a chance.

First of all, try replacing the battery in the key fob. You might find that will solve the problem.

Thanks for the suggestion but the first thing I did was to replace the remote batteries - great minds think alike ;-)

I have the car in with BMW Service so will report back on their feedback.

Have you tried having the key close to the door handle? I sometimes find that if I have a big bunch of keys in my pocket it is a big sluggish. Battery change is a simple first step though.

Interestingly the 525d we rented in Germany last year I didn't think had CA at first as I couldn't open it the usual way. Then the low remote battery warning came up once we got in. Started fine and later I discovered CA working as normal, without further warnings.
