BT Tool with procede v4

For some reason my BT tool wont connect. Some kind of communication error. Was working perfect this morning and stopped working now. How do you procede guys get the BT tool connected? I even tried going on valet and still nothing.

It will work just fine in valet mode. If not, there is something wrong with your comm set up. Just make sure you have engaged valet mode before you try to hook up your BT tool.

From this I'm guessing that the BT tool will ONLY work if the Procede is in Valet mode ??

Strange, never had any issues and I didn't even know that you have to put the procede into valet mode. i always just plugged it in and scanned it.

Yes, as I understand it (can't find the old post) Only one application can run on the Canbus at a time, either the procede or the BT Tool.

You can see in this post Shiv saying that the Procede is off the Canbus when in Valet mode:

I agree with Shiv. It does sound like your having communication error with the vehicle. Check and make sure the terminals in the OBD port isn't spread and causing a bad connection.

this was driving me crazy for a while about a year ago.... couldn't figure out why it wouldn't talk... try turning ignition on and NOT starting the car.... then connect with the BT tool....

turned out my issue was once the engine was running, the procede got in the way...

+1
or just connecting your bt tool after you toggle to valet mode. That disables the CANbus functionality of the Procede.

You will not need any add-on downpipe fix, bms or otherwise, with v4.

Im still getting error. " Cannot connect to module or something". I turn car on, toggle to valet mode, turn car off and then then turn ignition on again. It says cable is attached on the BT software but wont connect to module. WTF?

Why are you turning it off and on after toggling to valet mode. All you need to do is start the car, toggle to valet mode, and hook up the valet tool. If that does not work, something is wrong with your laptop comms. You can try to remove the Procede but you will have the same problem.

Ok. So I should just leave the car on after I toggle to valet? The p-reader works perfectly so I dont think Im dropping comms. There is no option in the BT software to change ports and the cable is detected when I start the software. It just wont connect to any modules in the software once it starts up. Maybe it needs wi-fi?
