Right. That's what it sounded like. I know that cars that have been ordered are regarded as 'pre-sold' cars are prioritized higher than cars that are going to dealer stock. In your case, you may get the best of both in that it sounds like your car was custom ordered but may be targeted for dealer stock. Based on the car being custom ordered, it may be prioritized higher than dealer stock so it could be out of the VPC already. You really should contact your dealer to find out. - SR |

My car is now at the dealer and being prepped for delivery. It arrived on Saturday. It would be ready for delivery as soon as tomorrow but I have scheduled to pick it up on Thursday!
Any other AIDA owners taken delivery yet? |

I don't want to alarm you, but one possible explanation is there was damage during shipping and the VPC is repairing that damage. According to threads I've read here, they don't have to disclose this even to the dealer if the repair is less than a certain % of the value of the car. They can do all manner of repairs including paint at the VPC. I would inquire with your dealer to see if perhaps something like this is going on. If so, use it as leverage to try and get some kind of freebie out of your dealer for your trouble. |
