BMW Track Day

Hi.. I've been a follower of this forum for awhile now and recently I got talking with a member who, like me is really interested in going for a track day PREFERABLY with just BMW enthusiasts. I know there are a lot of activities, actually more recently, along with the recent contribution from the people at M3 forum.

It has been brought to my attention that there is a track in Guangdong (www.gicgd.com) which is quite afforable, if we have sufficient participants and also not so fully booked throughout the year. I also think it would be a great time for all us who have modified vehicles to see how good those components actually perform.

What do we think? Can I get a show of hands from the people who are interested? The trackday can happen in May or June if not September or October. I think if we went between the end of June to August it would too hot for some cars. hehehe..

I would be interested, but there might be some complications with the logistics in getting the cars up. If anyone has prior experience in organizing this, I think it would be good to discuss this further.

Well, I've read from the website that it's very straight forward. When I confirm the track for the day, they'll organise a time for us to have our cars inspected in hk, where we get the temporary plates into China. On the day that we drive up, there is the option of requesting a car to show us all way to the track. Since it is a weekend thing, I am not sure that you want to spend the money to ship your car there.
