Hey Everyone;
File this under WAY too excited! I leave next week to do the European delivery. I'm dropping it off in Nice France. Does that mean they truck it back to Munich before shipping it out? I could have sworn I saw some cars on the lot that said they were shipped out of France. The dealer said it will take 6-8 weeks to get it after I drop it off. Anyone have a better real life estimate?

I drop my car in Madrid and car was move on flat bad and drive to Zeebrugge, Holland and then from there loaded on sheep and send to Oxnard, CA.
Drop of in Madrid July 27, car redelivery - October 2.
Edit: Car was seating in VPC for 2 weeks - fixed bumper scratch - freeking Milan hotel parking.

If you drop it in France, it should be shipped from Zeebrugge. Now, since you seem to be on the west coast, if i look at what happened for me, it all depends on when you drop it compared to when a ship is about to leave zeebrugge for the west coast.

You're lucky with your timing:
- the car is on a boat just like 2-3 days after drop off
- 4 weeks transit to CA
- VPC -> dealer takes a few days (how long i think it depends, some people have seen 2/3 days, some much longer)

You're not so lucky with your timing (read: my experience):
- you drop it just after the last ship left, and you have to wait a while before it catches the next one -> took 12 days for me from drop off in Paris to ship leaving Zeebrugge
- 4 weeks of transit
- VPC -> dealer takes a few days

So, I'd say best case scenario is probably 5 weeks. Could be as long as 7-8 weeks or so. So you're dealer is right to say 6 to 8. I'd be happy with 6

6-8 weeks is the most realistic timeframe. If anyone tells you faster for CA then they're setting you up for disappointment. I think most people average about 7-wks depending where in CA or the west coast.
