Its the rear darker tinted glass option as on my old 335;

But to be fair, it doesn't protect much sun, so on my new 335 Ive spec'd the rear blinds as well!

Cheers Oli

Basically just a fancy name for tinted windows

Seems like an expensive option to me... May just get them tinted later

After market tinting of the back window is very difficult because of the construction of the glass. Better to have it done by BMW.

Bit late, his car turns up next week!

I always prefer factory tint, as it doesn't show up the heated rear window bars or the ghosting round the edge that aftermarket tinting does

Cheers Guys...

Think I'll forget the tint on this one....also it's a lease car, so anything I do to it, must be returned to stock

I'm getting far too excited about this car!

There's no such thing as getting too excited about these bimmers. Now Toyotas, on the other hand, your heart may start to pound furiously under certain conditions. Don't mistake this for excitement; it's fear.

It's supposed to reduce the heat of the sun inside the car. Kids say it makes a difference.

Defo wort spec'ing the SPT from the factory and just getting a lighter tint on the fronts to get rid of the 'van' look lol - I have had 50% on the fronts and it blends in nicely with the darker rears. Been on 12 months with no trouble from plod.
