Exclamation Just Ordered the Kestrel 4250 Racing Weather Tracker

I don't know if that many people would be into something like this but I thought I would let you guys know that there is a pretty cool weather meter out there and it's really not that expensive.

It's the Kestrel 4250 and it gives the following:

Temperature
Dew Point
Density Altitude
Humidity
Wind Speed
Absolute Pressure
Etc.

I ordered it off this web site here and I'll give you guys an update once I get it and use it.

And, yes, I did get the bluetooth one so I can transfer the data to my laptop.

I've got a Kestrel NV4500 I use for long range shooting. Never thought about using it track days!

At first read this a few days ago thinking I wouldn't use this for purposes like deciding which set of tires to switch to mid track session. Thinking some more this could be useful in logging conditions for various track days. Let us know how it works for you after a few uses.

It works great! I used it when I went to Sacramento and it is extremely accurate. The DA calculation is dead on as well.

It's also a little fun to see the atmospheric pressure before it rains to see how low it actually is.
It's a little nerdy but it's a fun toy.
