Question how to turn chrome tips into matte black
Hi guys just bought some dual tips for my car that will be getting a muffler delete soon. I was wondering how can I change the chrome into matte black? is there a DIY out here somewhere I couldnt find it. I googled it too nothing.

You can sand them down and paint them with high-temperature resistant paint.

What kind of sand paper should I use? cuz I saw the DIY for the grills and they use 3 different kinds but that was for plastic. Thank you.

(follow sanding guide for blackout kidney grills) an then 4-5 coats should hold up, as far as chipping goes it shouldn't chip to much in visual areas only like underneath. i didnt see flat or matte blk in the high temp cans maybe just out of stock where i am. just came from home depot
