Urgent help in uninstalling Procede Rev II!!!
Yesterday morning I've rough idle when I started my car in the morning, BT scan tools reported 2 fault codes: 2FBF, 29CD. This morning I can barely started my car. So I decided to take out Procede Rev II. After I reverted everything back to stock, I cannot start my car and BT scan reported a bunch of new codes:
3100 boost-pressure control, deactivation 2A80 Inlet-Vanos variable cam control test, input signal 2A85 Outlet-VANOS variable cam control test 30CF Wastegate, input signal 30D0 Wastegate 2, input signal 2EF5 Map thermostat, input signal 2E85 Elctrical cooling pump, communication 2A9B Camshaft sensor outlet, signal 2A9A Camshaft sensor inlet, signal I double check my ECU connection and everything seems to be OK. I just want to make sure it's not caused by the uninstallation of procede. Can anyone help? Thanks |

I recheck again. There is no mistake. In fact all the connectors can go in one direction only. They won't slide into the slot if you don't put them in the correct location. What else can be wrong?

Did you confirm that you put the 12v orange wire in the green connector properly? If it put it in the wrong slot, you'd have the problems you are describing. Not plugging in one of the DME connectors would also cause this. The fact that the car isn't starting, suggests something not plugged in. Seen it a million times. Shiv |

Shiv, you're the man. The power connector wasn't fully inserted into the slot. After I pushed the pin in, I can now start the car but it shook like crazy and was in limp mode. I cleared all the fault codes and rescanned with BT tool and it reported 29CD Misfirings, cylinder 1. Why didn't I get 2FBF code this time. Do I have HPFP problem or just a dirty plug? Thanks for your big help.

I just started the car again and now I did not experience any shaking. Just like nothing had happen. I cleared all fault code and rescanned again but there was no fault code. I think my car only has problem with cold start (park overnight) but run fine when the engine is warm up. Any idea what the problem is?

I did have long crank this morning and also misfire code. Unfortunately I cleared all the fault codes and now the car ran without a hitch. I suppose I cannot just ask my dealership to investigate the problem. I guess I'll have to keep driving my car until the HPFP fail. Will it die while driving on the road or will it just happen when I start the car in the morning? Thanks for your help. BTW your customer support/service is top notch.

I had the same issues... was getting long cranks, rough idle's and a little shaking, took the PROcede out, still got long cranks, (between 2-5 second crank times). I took it to the dealer on wednesday... THey are still looking at it. (I even recorded my long cranks for proof and put it on a cd). I'm suppose to get an updated from the dealership tomorrow. Luckily they gave me a loaner, although it was a 328... Anyway, best of luck to you...
I miss my 335...

FWIW, my car has 65k miles on it and i had my HPFP replaced once at 30k miles. Not because it was giving me any problem but because it was a recall item. I wouldn't be surprised if it would still be running if I still had it. The fuel pump issue, as strange as it sounds, still only happens to a minority of n54 owners. But often enough for BMW to extend the warranty on the item to 100k miles and replace them without much question/hassle. Shiv |

OP, as I stated yesterday, record your long cranks, and put it on a CD/DVD and take it with you to the dealer... I just got a call from my dealer, and based off my recordings and their testing, they yanked out the old HPFP and replaced it with one of the new ones, and they are updating the car's software as well, picking it up tomorrow... They didn't give me any problems, and it's all covered (under warranty). I took about a weeks worth of recordings before going in, but I'm sure if you've got a good relationship with your dealer, you won't even need the recordings. GL to you

I just got my car back. Basically the dealership did not replace the fuel pump but they did replace the fuel injector and spark plug in cylinder 1. They said there was only misfire event in the DME. I had one long crack last week. Can cylinder misfire cause long crank?
