Turbo replacement
Has any one had to replace the turbos? One of the turbos has a waist gate issue.

Nope, never heard of a turbo replacement here.
j/k.. the waste gate issue is a common thing and many have had warranty work because of them.. you are not alone! |

Commong problem with wastegate rattle. You can buy a used set of turbos on ebay for about $200, the installtion will be expensive. Why would you buy a used 335i that didn't have a warranty? They are a dime a dozen here and always for sale.

I wouldn't buy a car like that! I work on BMW's and this is just one in the shop..... I have replaced the turbos in e9x's before, I just think it's sad BMW's has this problem.

5 hrs does sound pretty quick! That would be about $500 in labor around here. So, with ebay turbos, you could be in and out around $800. Not bad.

1 day of work here in Europe. In Germany they charge for the exchange ( labor only ) €860 at a dealership. If you have warranty and your car is not tuned and you have wastegate rattle BMW will exchange the turbos for free.
