Question Removal of front plate bracket

What's involved with removing the front license plate mount that dealers install?

I don't plan on running without a front plate, and I plan on mounting it flush (with protection to prevent scratching) instead. I doubt it's anything difficult, just curious.

Should I ask my SA to not install the bracket?

The black plate mount? I'm guessing just a screwdriver, nothing complex. You'd need to plug the holes after removal.

That's what I figured.

No I won't need plugs. I just want to put the plate flush on the bumper, no bracket.

The mounting holes for the bracket don't line up with the mounting holes for the license plate. You'll end up drilling two more holes. You mght want to consider a bracket that can utilize the original holes but is still hidden behind the plate. It won't be flush but will probably look a helluva lot better than that monstrous OEM bracet.

theres some plugs they use sometimes with the front plate... just use pliers to rip them out.
