Yeah, the rim is 17" (to clear 335 calipers) but the overall rolling diameter (with tyre) is the same whether the car has 16", 17", 18" or 19" main wheels. So it makes no difference really.

We tried various space savers from other models, E60, E46's , but none would clear the front brakes. Ooops. EDIT, should have read 17" space saver Last edited by creepy coupe; 04-09-2010 at 03:05 AM.. |

I would have thought a 17" would have cleared the brakes since a normal 17" rim does (just). The offset for the spacesaver must be different.

Ok can't get hold of the bloke, but I think it's
36110445045, which is just the wheel and should be alloy and why I'm in decision about the price. Last edited by creepy coupe; 04-08-2010 at 10:10 AM.. |

It is a 17" rim but has the same tread OD as 16,17,18,19 in rims anway. I just keep mine in the boot like you say. In fact put spokes-down it makes a good place to put things so they don't slide about. |

Any idea of approximate costs of the tyre and rim?
