PROcede weird event
MY procede wasnt putting down very much power at all orginally, it kept goiong down too for some reason. I did a simple 2 hour map swicth using a laptop and it is now increddible, I cant see what new maps will come out for it, the newest is freaking awesome, its nice to know that i bought a product that can be tuned the way I want it and constantly changed for better settings, upgradeablity is a beautiful thing.

I'm not sure either. The 2nd map that i sent was vitually the same as the original one. That alone should not account for any difference on the dyno whatsoever. Perhaps something else may have caused the perceived difference in performance. As for your original map not putting down much power originally, I don't know if 315whp and 350lbft of torque at the wheels is exactly low. Especially when tested on another dyno, by another operator in different conditions. Too many variables involved and the actual numbers aren't out of line enough to warrant any concern, imho.

Shiv, the Procede Reader software is really nice. I downloaded the v1.2 map with ease. Two things:
1. Do you have any info on the capabilities of the software package. I am uncertain of the specifics on what each gauge is indicating. There are also data logging capabilities. I am interested in what can be done in this area. 2. The 9 pin serial connector attached to the Procede requires removal of all covers, etc. for access. Next time I will leave the connector outside of the ecu box and then wrap with electroical tape. This way access with a computer for downloading maps, etc.. is a breeze. Nice work Overall. I am really pleased. |

As for the serial connector, there is no need to remove all the overs. All you need to do is snap off the black plastic lid, and unclock the white plastic ECU cover on one end (closest to the side of the car). You can then lift that side of the cover up enough (2-3") so that you can reach your fingers in there to pull out the serial port on the PROcede harness. It'll take 20-30 seconds to do and require no tools. Then just tuck it back when your done and pop back on the cover. No need to leave it out. cheers, shiv |

I have a question, I've looked through other threads and haven't found any definative answers. How tunable is the PROcede ? Is it user programmable ? Or is it off the shelf maps ? If I was to install, say an LM-1, is it compatable with the PROcede ? Can you read and adjust the ignition maps ? Is it basically just a piggyback ?
