weird AC issue 2007 e90
I have a 2007 328i 4-door purchased used about a year ago. Recently, I noticed that I don't get AC/cold air from the window and floor vents unless I have temps set a 60 degrees. When the temp is set to 61 or higher, cold air does not blow out of those vents. Once the temp is dialed down to 60, something clicks in and cold air is pushed out of those vents. The air coming out of the main dash vents behave normally.
BMW dealership couldn't figure out the problem and said they observed the same thing on a couple of other 3-series they tested. And apparently the dealership will consult with BMW about the problem. Based on the dealership observations, I'm wondering if anyone else here has experienced the same problem? I'd like to know if this is a widespread issue or is it just my car that's behaving poorly. |

I got a follow-up saying this is normal behavior verified on a number of that model 3-series. Can anyone else with a e90 3-series verify? Select window and/or feet vent only, turn temp down to 61 degrees and see if you get cold air out?
