Running with no exhaust, just dp's
I have read on here that there was someone who went to the track with just dp's, no exhaust. From what I understand back pressure is not an issue with turbo cars. So would there be any gains from tracking a car with no exhaust, just catless dp's?

I ask because I did it this morning and I feel a power loss. any idea if it is just me or if there is an actual loss?

Cant say for sure... let the car adapt some and do a couple WOT runs.
But per turbo cars, less restrction the better as mentioned is a standard. But if you dont have a way to measure any performance gains then it might not be very benefical. |

The guy you are talking about is boostedcosta, and I have personally witnessed him make that 11.9@117 pass with no exhaust. I am not sure if it helped or not, but you can't argue with an 11 second car with tune, dps and race gas... a 6MT to boot!

Well Ive already put it back on because it was just too loud to drive around the city (where I live) and I think it feels more powerful although I have not made it to the highway as of yet.

On a 135i I can see how you would net some gains. That exhaust is far more restrictive than a 335i, probably to compensate for the weight differential.
