how to upload songs in idrive

I dont have usb in the glove box but do have aux 3.5 jack point inside the centre consol which i guess is a standard nowadays

so whats the most convienient way of uploading songs into the HDD, does it have be with ipod or can it be done with any other mp3 players. and if its posible than what sort of cable is required to transfer music into HDD which gives better quality. and if it has to be ipod than which generation (model) is compatible with the LCI model cars

thanks for the help and advice.

Plug your device in and go to import music in the music collection section.

The rest is pretty self explanatory really.

I tent to have mine store in folders on my USB stick, it keeps things neater when loaded on the cars HDD
