Smile New E92 335D owner saying Hi ...

I'll be picking up my new 335D from Hexagon in March The car is already there but because I want to put on an 07 plate I bought, it will remain there unregsitered until 1 March (Ordered the car first week of Feb and it arrived 4 days ago ......)

Sapphire Black with Saddle Brown interior :rocks:

Anyway, some of you might recognize my current car from other forums, I've moved from M-Power to Diesel power It's really that good

Here's my M3 for another week before being returned completely to stock and back to the dealers .....

Roll on March ........

Hello Nick. In case you don't know my forum name, I came on the Ring trip last August with Paul (Mystic Sport). I was gobsmacked when he told me you were getting a 335d. Hope you enjoy it. Presume it won't be staying standard for long.

Welcome to the site.

Phil

Hi Phil, I've got some great plans for this car I've ordered the car in 'poverty spec' form, a blank sheet of canvas for me to work on ........

They are very different in stock form, both are impressive in their own ways; but a tweaked 335D should prove an interesting alternative to the E46 M3 although I'm sure the E92 M3 is going to be much more sensational.

I'd like to see those alloys on the 335D

You are going to enjoy the 500+ miles between fill ups.
Just driven 387 miles on 38 litres (brimmed both times)

Hi Nick

Likewise we had an M3 Evo E36 before switching to two 330ds and now we are getting a 335d next week.

Not long to wait now.

Regards

Chris

Well done Nick the e90 is a good car. Not sure how you will find a diesel though after an M3 you will have to learn to ride the torque and not rev so hard for power.

That's exactly why we changed to the diesels, the M3 was just too frantic to drive fast. Before the M3 we had a 328i Sport coupe which was a lot easier to drive in everyday situations like going to work.

The 335d midrange is better than than the 335i and hardly any different to the M3. To get the M3 to sixty in less than 5.5 seconds took skill and technique, a lot of revs and a perfect launch. Succes rate maybe 50%. The 335d will hit 60 in less than 6.3 seconds almost every time you floor the pedal from a standstill.

Regards

Chris

Hopefully less than that with the DMS treatment

With that brilliant auto box in Sports mode, I would think it'll just keep it on power surge all the time.

What I would really like to know is how would the D cope on the Nurburgring running on coilovers and semi slick tyres
