yeh we need faster hoses- there should be a section for cars with modded 4 inch F1 style petrol portals. In and out in a jiffy.
C'mon who else gets annoyed when the car in front of the one in front of you leaves and you're left waiting..

isn't that why they have parking spots infront of the servo? for when it is uber busy, so that you can move to there to let someone else fill up? well, atleast that's what i do...

Apart from Dave, Chilli and myself, I wonder who else here has a non-BMW?
And gawd to make it not off-topic what octane do they use in their ride?

I do that too if it's busy. but if you move the car for the next car in line, and you're still queing up to pay, it's (almost) pointless because the hose won't unlock until you've paid - well that's how it is on busy days anyway... i know because i've been at the pump, standing there for 5 mins waiting for it to unlock!!!

Some places do unlock before you pay however.. it just resets the meter once you put the nozzle back on the emergency stop lever.

But get this story- I was once filling up at the number 3 pump and filled up about $15. A lady next to me in some stupid old bomb was filling up at the number 4 pump and I clearly saw that she had filled up to $67.
I was behind her in the queue to pay, and when it came time to pay, I heard her say "pump 3 please".. to which I was like WTF.. Anyway she paid $15 and then walked back out to the car.

I then stepped up and said- "number 3" to which the guy said- nah that's already been paid. And I said, "no, that was your mistake- that woman lied.. and I need a recipt for travel claim purposes".. Anyway to cut a long story short- he charged me $15 cos he could obviously see that my car was in front of pump 3, and gave me any old receipt he found in his receipt box.

I went out and knocked on that woman's car window- she was still in her car and had proceeded to light up with a pack of Longbeachs (I wont comment on the ciggies.. let alone at a petrol station), and she totally denied it. I told her that if she knew what was right, she'd go in and pay it.. "How could you expect to pay $15 for a full tank of petrol on ur old commodore?" To which she said "i dunno.." and drove off..

Jeesh.. some ppl.. (hope this wasn't too off topic- the word octane is in the title!)

dodgey b*tch
yeah ppl r getting dodgier and more desperate coz of how expensive the petrol was getting
i once saw someone drive off and the attendant got on this little scooter and gave chase - i stayed at the servo coz i hadn't paid yet but i thought that was pretty funny and actually pretty stupid coz then i could have driven off without paying either
when he came back he thanked me for my honesty hahaha but i asked if he caught the guy and he said no the guy wouldn't stop and he's lucky coz the guy tried to run him over!!
