Looking at some 3's...opinions?
Looking for a 3...Personally I want an 06 or newer (e90 body), but there is an 03 that is under consideration as well. What do you guys think:
The dealers in my area (Northern NJ, so Wide World, Park Ave, Prestige) are gonna be around 25 for an 07 certified 328xi (I need all wheel drive for winters). All of them have between 30-40K on the odometer. The salesman we have been working with at wideworld just got in an 03 325xi for only 15. Is this a good deal? I don't think its certified, and would be worried about breakdowns and stuff, but there is only 39,000 miles on the odometer. What do you guys think? |

I found another deal that looks like a decent possibility if someone could help me out...
It's an 06 325i, 62,000 miles, certified warranty, with Nav and Cold Weather package. Asking price is $19,888, and talking to the dealer yesterday, he said he could take 500-1000 off of that price. Is this a good or better deal than the others listed? Here is a link to the car: http://www.prestigebmw.com/VehicleDetails/671568683 |

Talk about breakdowns, unless you are really looking forward to make it happen in sub $20k, I would go for a more recent, like a 08 CPO. Warranty runs out pretty quickly before you know. (depends on how much you drive of course and there is no control over the 6 years running out)
Have a friend here who bought a '99 CPO in '04 and has been spending more than 1.5K every year on maintenance and repairs. Now, that was definitely not a wise way to go for a used car. May be he got unlucky, but putting that 4-7k into the car can get you a much better car and a nicer driving experience. I could see some 08 CPOs for about $24-25K here, and that is before any negotiations. Price goes up a notch depending on packages and options. Seems like $0 maintenance is available if you buy before Jun 01, 2010 on all CPOs for 6yr/100,000 miles. Double check that. JMO |

I just got my CPO '07 238xi last week for just over 28k +tx, lic. and I'd say you could probably find something similar for less. Reason why i settled for the price was because it was everything i was looking for (xi, premium..navi, cold weather pkg, split fold down back seats etc.) and here in so cal xi wasn't easy to come by. Not only that but the car fax report showed the car and its maintenance flawless.
also, regarding the "no-cost maintenance" program for CPO don't be fooled. You only qualify for that program if you use BMW's "standard rates". Read the fine print. Because our loan was a "progressive rate", the no cost maintenance for my CPO didn't apply and we had to pay for it. We did get it for $1k off and over all, i believe its worth it but don't get your hopes up about that like i did. Just to give you and idea, there was about a 12% rate difference between the two. Needless to say, we stuck with our rate and just shelled out the extra cash. |

hey eromano. I have a 06' Mystic Blue/Black/Aluminum trim 325xi Sedan that I'm thinking about selling. It currently has 37K miles, still in warranty until 7/2/10. Heated and powered seats, sunroof, aux input. extra set of wheels, brand new summer tires, m3 tailights, eibach lowering springs, 35% tint. I have all the orginal parts too including the oem wheels/tires that I can put back on if you would like it stock but it looks awesome as is. We can start at $22K. I'm outside of Detroit, MI. I can post pictures if your interested. Let me know.
