Hi all. Yesterday I went to the track with my 335i for the very first time. I am not new to racing but I am new to racing a street car. My car is an E90 2008 6AT stock with only an injen intake. Always running the car with 93 gas never less. The weather conditions are on the slips and had only 1/4 tank of fuel that day. I ran only in DS mode. DCS was full off too. My 60' times??? Also I noticed my RPM would hang for a little longer then I like at around the 6900 mark. If it would just changed the gears faster I felt that I might get a better ET and Trap time. So what do you think I am doing wrong?

PS: PROcede already ordered but has yet to arrive. Maybe next Sunday

Try shifting it a little earlier @6300 rpms it shifts faster when you use the paddles or the shifter verses just letting it shift on it's own, and for your 60' try brake boosting it to about 2-2500 rpms and let it go I use to get 1.9x when my car was stock now I just have the dinan stg2 and a k&n and get 1.8x 60' all the time now. Your 1/4 mile times are about right my car ran 13.7x's consistantly. Hope this helps with your techinique or least it's what my car likes.....

In your second run, what was the other car??? Surprising to see 9 sec class car racing against your car with no handicap indicated.

I agree with the other poster, your quarter miles are typical for basically stock 335.
