Copper spark plugs?

From all my experience with modifying FI cars, its always seemed best to replace OEM(platinum) spark plugs with colder copper plugs.

Ive got NGK copper plugs sidegapped in both my supercharged M3 and my A4. I noticed better idle and midrange after I added the copper plugs.

Has anyone else tried this yet?

Sounds like a good idea, I know the E46 M3 guys running nitrous or SC'rs make the switch.

I see Audi has lost another enthusiast to the 335I, good to see you over here posting Bro.

Wow, we are popping up left and right. It feels like Im home again with all the people I already know. Would be funny if all of us A4 turbo guys educate the new-to-turbo BMW guys on how its all supposed to work.

Yup it is a common practice in an effort to prevent pre-detonation. Thing is, Vishnu did not make a recommendation even when they increased boost on the 335 via the Procede. So at the moment, I'm not even certain it is necessary.

In terms of what? Theres hundreds of aftermarket plugs out there. You just find the one that firts correctly. Its not like BMW uses magic plugs and you cant get replacements.

I just checked on Sparkplugs.com and it did not yield any results. I'm sure it is just a matter of them updating their system - if I wasn't so lazy I'd go out and pull them myself to get the part #.
