MP3 Song Titles?

When you play a disc of MP3s is the song title suppose to come up? I have a non I drive....with Logic 7. It just says Tract 1, Tract 2, etc...???

You have to hit the button "List", its not an actual button, but on your screen it will correlate to a button below the word List

You can either hit list to show a list or track to show just that track and artist.

Alright .....what's up? No Track or List options avail.

I looked in Sirius and when you hit "title" the title and artist come up just fine.

Could be the way I burned the CD or the CD itself?

Any help. I burned it using Windows Media Player in Windows XP (New Computer) as MP3s, Maybe a setting I have to change...... I really need Titles to show up as I'm in the process of ripping all my CDs to the computr and then combining them to disc. The disk I used for this test is a regular Memorex data CD-R nothin special...does that matter?

Is there options in media player for adding the id3 info to the mp3? perhaps mine need to be changed?? i'm thinking this may be the problem.....

if you right click on the song in media player, you will see an option called advanced tag editor, and with that you can modify (make sure that the correct title is there)...

ya they all look good. I don't know the deal. I don't see anything where the tags are turned off when burning...any other ideas????

nevermind!!!! I tried burning a disk w/ media center instead, works perfectly. Songs, album and artist all show up in the car now, nice.

Are you sure that the tracks on the CD have names? Depending on how you burned it, what software you used, etc. it may not. What does it show you on your PC?

???? not sure what you mean. After I rip them as an MP3, all the info shows up in media player...no problem, name, artist, legth etc...

I'm using Media Center on my computer ro burn and everything gets transferred nicely.

sesegal99, any chance you can post the first 20-30 lines of the XML file in your MP3 cd? I burn mine using itunes and it also doesn't show the song info (just shows "track #" instead). Thanks.

I also like to see which song i play.

But everytime I turn of the engine, I have to press 'list' and 'title' again.

How stupid is that ? Can't I set it to always display title ?

the title is displayed with the track number all the time if you have idrive.
