Wow. Show us where you can put a listing on e-bay for $9 with report. E-bay used to be a lot more than that. Once you list it with tradional style listing...once you get that first bid (when they add more fees) usually you will spend $80-$120 depending on what extras you add. Unless something has changed? |

That is correct. It comes with their listings now. The cost of the national exposure type listing will cost you in the neighborhood of $100-$120 for a 7-10 day auction. You can get listings for free for first 6....next few are around $10...anything over 13 is $15. This is in the local classified option. That is only for local exsposure and it only runs for 7 days each cycle. Most people on E-Bay don't search local so I think this service is no bueno. Plus, they take out all the protection...feedback ect that is normally offered with e-bay. That is their attempt to compete with Craigslist. Most traffic that shops on e-bay are not looking local. Some do...most don't. Most local shop Craigs List. Or, they shop the dealer happy services like Autotrader.com and Cars.com. My previous business was a online car dealership. We found the local listing drove very little traffic in comparison to the other style auction on e-bay. |
