oil type?

what type of synthetic oil does the e90 take? 5w or 10w?

0W-40 Mobil 1 from autobarn.com. I see that you're in Deutschland, they will deliver to an APO or FPO address. I just got mine and my local dealer will be able to use it.

The correct oil has the BMW approval. LL-01 in the United States, LL-04 everywhere else.

Don't get to focused on the SAE viscosity numbers. LL-01 can be met by a "thick" 30 weight oil or a "thin" 40. Same on the cold side, 0W or 5W.

Look for LL-01 or LL-04 in fine print.
